Your central role:

Transfer your sound mathematical knowledge into practice

Ensuring the appropriateness of the models and methods used, as well as the assumptions made for the valuation of the insurance liabilities, including an assessment of the sufficiency and quality of the data used
Contribute to the actuarial function’s annual report. This involves supporting the actuarial function in his/her opinion on the adequacy of the reserves level, on the reliability and appropriateness of the insurance liabilities valuation, on the overall underwriting policy, on the adequacy of reinsurance arrangements and on the actuarial governance
Contributing to the preparation of the ORSA, RSR and SFCR reports and monitoring the recommendations from the actuarial function
Conducting reviews of valuation models, validation, reinsurance arrangements, underwriting policies and actuarial governance
Handling special tasks and ad hoc requests, supporting the model change process (IFRS17 and Solvency II) and willingness to travel abroad (2 x per year, 3 days)

Your profile:

Dedicated analyst with a structured view

Successfully completed studies in mathematics, economics or business administration with a focus on finance or comparable education
Ideally completed further education as an actuary (DAV) with comprehensive knowledge of the valuation models and activities of an actuarial function of a primary insurer
Knowledge of IFRS 17 and at least 5 years of professional experience in the insurance industry in risk management, actuarial, statistical or ALM areas
Strong analytical and independent way of thinking and working as well as a high level of commitment
Competence in providing technical guidance, very good communication skills and a strong team spirit, Fluent German in writing and spoken
