Front-End/UI Developer - Remote

  • Has technical responsibility for the respective domain and facilitates improvements by changing designs, approaches, and working practices.
  • Develop computer programs, responds to questions, and resolves problems
  • Develops entry-level to highly complex batch and/or interactive applications, using functional specifications, following departmental policies/procedures, methodologies, and project schedules
  • Designs, codes, tests, and implements modifications or enhancements to applications
  • Develops system and/or program level specifications
  • Knowledge of software development (SDLC) methodologies
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, interpreting their issues and translating them into workable solutions
  • Ability to bring closure to issues, problems, and projects of all levels of complexity depending on experience
  • Develops and executes test plans, assuring that both component and integrated tests are completed
  • Assists and/or develops training for internal IT staff and business users

WE EXPECT

Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or a related field of study.
  • 2+ years of strong ReactJS experience.
  • 2+ years of strong NodeJS experience.
  • Strong JAVA/JEE and SQL experience.
  • Strong Javascript/Typescript (ECMAScript6 or ES6) experience.
  • Experience in HTML, CSS, UI Framework (Bootstrap/Material UI).
  • Ability to communicate, work with onsite/offshore teams and the client as required to deliver effectively.
  • Exposure to agile methodology, estimation, planning.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent coding standards, best practices, and quality management processes.
  • Ability to define and expose micro-services.
  • Experience with REST web services& use of JSON (building, unit testing using tools like postman or similar).

Preferred skills:
  • Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire digital products & architecture.
  • Good design experience and expertise in Guidewire using Webservices, SOA, Plug-ins, Messaging, API, EDGE API, and associated technologies.
  • Guidewire portal implementation experience.
  • API management experience in Azure APIM or other similar API gateways.
  • Open API/Swagger documentation.
  • Exposure to Cloud Infrastructure and Services.
  • Understanding of P&C insurance and business processes.
