Specialty Clients Functional Analyst

Purpose:

The Functional Analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining internal documentation related to system changes, requirement updates, and data quality and consistency. Acts as the Specialty Clients technical liaison with other internal business units as it relates to data and external partner systems. Responsible for creating and communicating requirements to external partners and coordinating, and participating in, UAT efforts. The functional analyst will create new Cognos, Power BI reports, and SQL queries to be used within department.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Work in partnership with Product Analysts to identify system changes needed as a result of product development
  • Facilitate meetings within Specialty Clients, other internal business groups and external partners. Meetings will include fact gathering, communication of defects, testing needs and results, and potential solutioning
  • Participate in due diligence efforts with respect to new program opportunities
  • Responsible for research, requirements, root cause analysis, and coordinating implementation plan
  • Create business requirements to be distributed to Specialty Clients external partners
  • Provide system expertise involving the off-system processing application
  • Maintain product model and coverage matrix updates for Specialty Clients products
  • Ensure all documentation owned by other areas of the organization is updated appropriately, including but not limited to, technical file requirements
  • Accountable for assigning and monitoring ticketing process to ensure completion.
  • Create Cognos and Power BI reports.
  • Responsible for creating new SQL queries and training Product Analysts on use.
  • Create process documentation and SOP’s for all processes.
  • Represent specialty clients in any corporate data projects.

WE EXPECT

  • Proficient use of SQL, Cognos, Power BI, Excel
  • Strong understanding of OSPA and AMSuite and how they impact each department
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of how to create and execute a test plan
  • Understanding of how to create and track tickets using VSTS
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and deep dive analysis
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts
