We’re looking for an Intern who wants to “Scale, Shape, and Succeed!”
Our intern program is an educational experience that provides interns with a high-quality, challenging, exciting, and fun experience at American Modern Insurance Group. The goal of this internship is not only going to identify future talent for our organization but to provide an educational internship for students that will provide them with firsthand professional experience of what it would be like to work with a diverse team focusing on Quality Assurance and Risk Management Governance Team like Corporate Underwriting.

Most of the job revolves around tactical and data-centric work in the Corporate Underwriting Department. This intern will be able to ideate on problem areas and come up with meaningful, value-added solutions to implement.

This position is open to students with a concentration in Audit, Business, Economics, Risk Management, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a similar program.

Work with the Corporate Underwriting Department to:
  • Assist in the completion of Testing and Monitoring of Business Unit Controls, and identify gaps in processes and documentation.
  • Assist the team by performing tasks designed to gain an understanding of the Property and Casualty marketplace while providing information/research to the team.
    • Participate fully with other team members by actively asking questions, volunteering answers, and assisting teammates as appropriate.
    • Continuously develop and strengthen the skills required for success in the Insurance Industry.

WE EXPECT

Qualifications:
  • Junior or higher pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or similar program
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Ability to think logically and critically
    • Mindset for continuous improvement
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated deduction and critical thinking skills
  • Project Management, Six Sigma, Shingo courses or certifications a plus
