Analytics developer


  • Develop, translate, and package data pursuant to the business requirements developed for each request from a regulatory agency, statistical agent, or internal/external business partner.
  • Development will include the use of various data repositories and/or manual data tools to source data efficiently and accurately. Processes will be created or updated as needed to capture the appropriate detail on how the data was sourced, tested, and validated.
  • When necessary, create/expand various data marts and automate processes that lead to production efficiencies and allow for the self-service abilities within RR&L as well as the Legal & Compliance Department when possible.
  • Follow established operational procedures to include the completion of peer reviews when required to assure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of the data, the production and performance of the developer, and that all identified risks and controls are supported.
  • Identify continuous process improvement opportunities and operationalize solutions for the same assuring all key process documentation exists and is regularly updated


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, or similar major or equivalent work experience in insurance or financial services
  • Minimum 3 years working within the data analytics arena of a financial institution, preferably the insurance industry
  • Proficient in the use of SQL, testing and validation of data, appropriately documenting processes, and conduct peer reviews as needed
  • Experience with any one or more of the following: Power Query/Power BI, Power Automate, Azure DevOps, Azure Databricks
  • Strong and demonstrable ability to review and interpret varying business requirements to accurately source and translate data to support the regulatory needs of the company as well as various internal and external partners
