Great Lakes Insurance UK Limited (“GLLS”), regulated by Prudential Regulation Authority and the Financial Conduct Authority, is a fully owned subsidiary of Great Lakes Insurance SE and acts as the preferred facilitator of agency insurance business in the UK in the post-Brexit world.
About the role:
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet cash management requirements on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, complete bank reconciliations
- Daily, weekly and quarterly liquidity forecasting
- Monitor bank accounts and liquidity levels
- Ensure effective communication between group companies, investment managers at Group level and all stakeholders
- Play a key role in identifying and implementing process improvements, working in collaboration with the wider team and our key stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining the team’s shared mailboxes, ensuring queries are responded to in a timely manner
- Process payments with efficiency, accuracy and adhering to company policies
- Process staff and company credit card expenses
- Process vendor invoices
- Complete vendor reconciliations
- Report on vendor, bank, customer and other balance sheet open items relevant to the team on a quarterly basis

Key Skills & Experience:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely in person/online and in writing
- Experience in cash management and accounts payable, ideally in a large global organisation in which adherence to Group standards is required
- Experience in making incremental improvements and introducing efficiencies to accounting and reporting processes
- Working knowledge and experience of SAP
- Focused on quality
- Microsoft Excel and Word: good level
- Experience of applying the correct VAT treatment on transactions
- Proven use of online banking tools
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- Full member of AAT or other equivalent finance recognised qualification

Regulatory & Conduct Requirements:
In addition to the responsibilities set out above, as a finance analyst you will also be responsible for:
- Satisfying all regulatory reporting requirements in collaboration with the reporting function
- Liaising with all relevant regulatory bodies in the UK, creating a highly credible reputation and strong, collaborative relationship
- Ensuring compliance with Munich Re’s Code of Conduct and the FCA Conduct Rules
