As speciality provider of primary insurance services in the UK, Great Lakes Insurance SE, UK Branch is a substantial part of our parent, Great Lakes Insurance SE in Munich. Your job

About the role: You will be a part of a newly created team supporting the business in capturing and reviewing regulatory and financial data from insurance intermediaries.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with our data intake system and wider data team you will:

Undertake the following tasks:

Utilise appropriate tools and techniques to support the change activity.

Actively contribute to the improvement of data management processes and systems

Undertake learning of IT offerings to identify and provide business units with expertise and advice on how best to utilise within their business processes

Be a conduit between the Business and IT

Your profile

Key Skills & Experience:


We would ideally like to find a new team member with previous experience in an operational primary insurance or reinsurance role along with knowledge of insurance products and markets.

Given that this role will manage onboarding of MGA's, somebody adept in communicating and presenting to both internal and external partners is essential. You will be resolving queries and problem solving in a timely manner, so those relationships are incredibly important.


Business analysis skills from feasibility study through to delivery

Solid grasp of IT business architecture design and operating models

Knowhow and experience in innovative information technology

Specific MGA knowledge and delegated authority experience would be highly desirable

Basic background, at least, in relational database design, SQL and data visualisation

Ability to work with third parties and offshore development teams

Negotiation skills

Agile development methodology such as Scrum would be beneficial

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

CII, ACCA, ACA or relevant experience beneficial
