In the UK, Great Lakes is currently undergoing the authorisation process from the Prudential Regulatory Authority and Financial Conduct Authority for a Third Country Branch and a Subsidiary. About the role: You will be a part of a newly created team supporting the business in capturing and reviewing regulatory and financial data from insurance intermediaries.Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with our data intake system and wider data team you will:
Undertake the following tasks:
- On-board MGAs to our system
- Work closely with MGAs to map their data for Policy/Premiums and Claims bordereaux
- Resolve data questions/issues
- Test the bordereaux
- Support the business users with each MGAs go-live
- Engage with the business and the internal IT team to raise feature requests
- Provide support to quality assurance, system and user acceptance testing
- Provide support and training to the external and internal users where required
- Respond to and resolve any issues through liaison with the business, internal and external service providers
- Support business with their data analysis and reporting requirements
Utilise appropriate tools and techniques to support the change activity.
Actively contribute to the improvement of data management processes and systems
Undertake learning of IT offerings to identify and provide business units with expertise and advice on how best to utilise within their business processes
Be a conduit between the Business and IT
Your profileKey Skills & Experience:
We would ideally like to find a new team member with previous experience in an operational primary insurance or reinsurance role along with knowledge of insurance products and markets.
Given that this role will manage onboarding of MGA's, somebody adept in communicating and presenting to both internal and external partners is essential. You will be resolving queries and problem solving in a timely manner, so those relationships are incredibly important.Desirable
Business analysis skills from feasibility study through to delivery
Solid grasp of IT business architecture design and operating models
Knowhow and experience in innovative information technology
Specific MGA knowledge and delegated authority experience would be highly desirable
Basic background, at least, in relational database design, SQL and data visualisation
Ability to work with third parties and offshore development teams
Agile development methodology such as Scrum would be beneficialQualifications and Educational Requirements:
CII, ACCA, ACA or relevant experience beneficial
