Product Delivery Specialist

The Product Delivery Specialist (PDS) enables the success of the product lifecycle process from an operational flow perspective. Demonstrates a deep understanding of various operational processes that span across multiple products (examples include data flow, premium booking, policy processing from quote to bind to policy issuance). Responsible for documenting product operational process and identifying operational inefficiencies in every step of the value chain. Key output is to enable more rapid changes of product innovation to meet business needs. Helps to establish new processes where needed, and maintains a culture of continuous improvement for existing processes to maximize efficiencies. Collaborates with various functional areas to ensure that process flows and dependencies to systems are documented in order to enable efficient operational support across our products. Creates and maintains documentation as to the operational processes and role clarification tools (ie“RACIs”) that enable effective and efficient delivery to their respective consumers.

Responsible for maintenance of various product specific templates used by the Client Integration Team (i.e., marketing proposals and Underwriting Guidelines) and the input of that content into the iCertis technology to allow for automated document generation through the Grand Central platform which supports our Client Company business model. Partners with the Product Operations Managers, members of the Product management teams and various functional teams throughout the organization to ensure optimal delivery of products across various distribution channels in the US Market.

Works closely with Regulatory Affairs to assist with the review and implementation of regulatory and/or bureau bulletins that impact HSB’s domestic products.

WE EXPECT

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 3 years insurance industry experience preferred
  • 1+ years’ experience Process Improvement
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio or other workflow application)
  • Problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong technical skills and willingness to learn new applications (i.e., Grand Central, iCertis (document generation), SharePoint, etc.)
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Business analysis and/or project management
