AVP Pricing & Financial Analytics
WE OFFERLead a group that provides HSB’s primary source of knowledge and technical expertise in the development and implementation of insurance pricing and financial models. Develop innovative business solutions using state-of-the-art modeling methodologies and technologies as they pertain to pricing and financial modeling projects. Assist other BI&A modeling efforts as needed.
In addition, coordinate with the SVP of BI&A, the BI&A Operations Manager, and HSB’s Data Office to assist in the identification of HSB’s modeling needs and requirements as they pertain to insurance pricing and financial model development. Recruit and develop insurance pricing and financial modeling talent and support their professional growth in the fast-paced machine learning and AI world. In addition, support a continuous learning, hands-on environment, and encourage all team members to participate in internal (HSB/Munich Re) and external seminars and conferences.
WE EXPECTEducation & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial, Quantitative Finance, Economics or STEM field is required or equivalent work experience.
Master’s degree or higher preferred
10+ years’ experience in predictive modeling and/or actuarial analytics
Knowledge & Skills:
Ability to work in team environment
Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills
Programming experience in R or Python
Knowledge of statistical learning, machine learning and general deep learning methods
Experience with big data architecture and Azure cloud computing is preferred
Familiarity with text mining and other unstructured data such as images and sensor readings
