Applied Technology Solutions AVP


WE OFFER

As a leader in the Applied Technology Solutions organization the AVP will support the group’s overall mission to develop and execute “technology enabled” solutions using advanced Risk Solutions, Financing and emerging technologies. The AVP will work globally within the IoT organization to drive strategic initiatives and growth, and develop long-term partnerships with senior leadership teams of targeted partners, primarily industrial equipment manufacturers (e.g., OEMs), service companies, distributors, and integrators (e.g., MROs), as well as their end customers. The AVP will work within a multi-disciplinary team of subject matter experts who will develop customized technology enabled financial solutions for partners and end customers.

WE EXPECT

Education and Experience:
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent industry experience, is required
  • 8+ years’ experience with a management or technology consulting company or similar industry experience in a corporate role
  • 7+ years’ experience in the role of business development manager with evidence of working with executive level stakeholders to ideate and execute partnerships and develop long term relationships
  • Experience working with OEMs and / or MROs in a strategy, operations, or finance capability (in industry or consulting), with deep understanding of business models, strategies, challenges, strengths, and decision-making drivers (e.g., in terms of capital deployment, etc.) desired
  • Experience applying IoT and emerging technologies in the industrial sector and designing and enabling new business models (e.g., transitioning to XaaS models, enabling data-driven business models to unlock / create value, etc.) desired
  • Experience enabling green initiatives (e.g., decarbonization, electric vehicles, renewable resources, etc.) a plus
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to apply needs-based selling models to develop customized solutions for partners and end customers
  • Ability to present progress reports to our partner’s C-suite and respond to strategic and technical questions in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams of different disciplines, cultures, and personalities to enable progress and quick decision making
  • Strong service orientation, target driven, self-organized, high social competence and a team player
  • Ability to enable co-creation of solutions with a design thinking mentality
  • Strong and concise communications skills (verbal and written). In addition, fluency in other languages (German and Spanish) are a plus
  • General insurance industry knowledge a plus
  • Comfortable working with a start-up mentality (fast paced, agile and iterative, continuous improvement, managing multiple priorities and projects)
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and frequent change
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 25% at times)
