Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Underwriter to join our Insurtech and Embedded Solutions team. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and technical expertise to underwrite complex opportunities that integrate cutting-edge insurance solutions with non-insurance products, platforms, and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting, a passion for technology and innovation, and the ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting Complex Opportunities: Evaluate, analyze, and underwrite complex insurance opportunities that involve integrating insurance solutions with various non-insurance products and platforms.
- Innovation and Creativity: Develop and implement innovative underwriting strategies and solutions that align with the company's vision for Insurtech and Embedded Solutions.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive risk management strategies tailored to unique and non-traditional insurance opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, business development, and marketing to ensure seamless integration of insurance solutions.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure the company's insurance solutions remain competitive and compliant.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs, present tailored insurance solutions, and build strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed underwriting reports, presentations, and documentation to support decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline is preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years required 8+ years preferred experience in the insurance and/or reinsurance industry.
- 5 or more years of Commercial and/or Cyber Underwriting experience
- CPCU or RPLU or other relevant insurance industry designation preferred
- Experience writing CLIPs and Performance Guarantees (preferred)
