Manager Damage Assessment

Lead and direct all operations within the Damage Assessment Unit. A critical cross functional partner within the Claims organization including Personal Lines and Commercial Lines Units. Is conversant regarding team performance trends, can convey a detailed understanding of the opportunities for improvement and maintain/execute improvement actions that lead to results within established targets.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years claims handling experience
- Previous experience in leading and managing staff is preferred
- Relevant industry designations
Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of key equipment types involved in high frequency Equipment Breakdown claims
- Working knowledge of other coverages associated with EB claims
- Previously demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. teaching, guiding, coaching and developing staff)
- Sound analytical skills
- Knowledge of Data Management & Analytics
- Excellent customer focus and ability to partner with internal and external customers
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with all levels of the organization.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to foster teamwork to include conflict resolution, personal and team accountability, openness to influence and team commitment.
