As an Underwriter Associate, you will embark on a comprehensive training program designed to teach and cultivate your skills and expertise in Underwriting. Guided by seasoned professionals, you will engage in a multifaceted curriculum that blends classroom instruction, hands-on experience, and a strong network of mentors and colleagues. This immersive program provides an invaluable opportunity for aspiring underwriters to develop a strong foundation and excel in the field and build an accelerated career path in P&C Underwriting.
Upon successful completion of the Underwriting Academy training program, you will transition into the role of an Underwriter with increased responsibilities, autonomy and binding authority. Additionally, ongoing professional development opportunities will be provided to support career growth and progression within the organization.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have the ability to work in the Hartford office for three days each week
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior internship or work experience in insurance, finance, or related fields is a plus.
