Business UAT QA Specialist

Ensure all business application development and configuration efforts meet business requirements and quality criteria through User Acceptance Testing which includes test planning, execution and issue tracking.  Ensure alignment on testing deliverables with HSB’s Testing CoE and the development of automated regression test plans and their execution.  Work closely with the Engineering Product Line Team and provide coaching and training on test tools (Azure DevOps). Suggest ways to improve current business processes and functionality to make them more efficient.

 

Education & Experience:

 

Bachelor's or Associates degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or other technical or business discipline is required, OR 3+ years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

3+ years’ experience in QA test planning and execution

Experience with industry standard QA practices and tools (Azure DevOps)

Strong background in Agile, Iterative and Waterfall project methodologies

Industry certification in QA is a plus

Experience in engineering and/or insurance operations

Project Management experience is a plus

Organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent customer-facing and interpersonal skills -- communicates effectively, builds relationships, influences others

Strong competency in requirements analysis, prioritizing and managing tasks, identifying and mitigating risks

Expert knowledge of Defect Management processes, Risk Framework and mitigation, and Enterprise Testing standards

Willingness to learn and adapt to change

Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once

Skilled with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project, SharePoint)
