Ensures consistent, quality service to all disciplines within HSB. Serves as a primary technical resource for the company providing technical insight and expertise on systems applications and infrastructure. Interacts with IT resources to investigate and resolve moderately complex application bugs and data issues. Analyzes existing architecture, applications and processes in order to facilitate continuous improvement to maintain maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Performs technical issue research and resolution in support of production activities. Participates in the facilitation of application implementation and enhancement testing as it pertains to business requirement fulfillment.
Education & Experience:
BS degree in Computer Science, Operations Management, Business Analysis, or Business Administration required; MS degree desired.
1+ years’ experience in formal business systems analysis is required, 3+ years is preferred
Understanding of HSB’s systems, processes, and data needs
Experience in Process Development/Improvement, Data Mining/Analysis, Client/Server Applications, Structured Query Language (SQL), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Case Design/Documentation/Execution/Results Management,Regression and/or Stress Testing, Technical Issue Analysis/Resolution
Experience in providing excellent customer service either on the front-line or in the back office
Lean Six Sigma or comparable process improvement program certification is preferred
CBAP Certification is preferred
Insurance industry experience
Business Operations experience
Knowledge & Skills:
Good communications skills (verbal and written)
Strong problem solving, analytical and presentation capabilities
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and ensure assignments are delivered on time
Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, procedures and systems. HSB practices and systems desired
MS Office (Windows, Word, Excel, Access)
