Support HSB Applied Technology Solutions team in the implementation of technology in local test pilot sites to design and develop installation knowledge and skill set. Lead role in IoT technology installation for all occupancies representing Sensor Solutions by HSB in customer onboarding, pilot and scale installations as well as working with client, customer and professional installers. This includes but is not limited to the design, development and implementation of installation training guides, videos and any other related educational content as well as conducting internal and external training. Ensure proper workflow, tools, documentation and procedures are in place in support of the installation workstream for HSB’s IoT program. Interact directly with customers to help install technology, answer questions, solve problems, provide educatand maintain our company’s reputation for high quality of service.
Education and Experience:
Must have a degree (bachelors or associates) in engineering, engineering technology, electronic technology, computer engineering, or other technology related discipline
3+ years’ experience in facilities management and/or installing/operating communications or IoT equipment
Experience in operational environments, and in equipment and communications troubleshooting
Project Management experience is a plus
Knowledge and Skills:
Must be mechanically inclined, with ability to install and connect sensor equipment
Must have excellent communications skills (speaking, writing, and presentational)
Must have outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive, service-oriented attitude
Must be articulate and well-spoken with excellent phone and email etiquette
Must have strong technical and computer skills and quick learner for new mobile tools and applications
Working knowledge of commercial facility equipment, usage and safety procedures
General IoT (equipment / sensor) industry knowledge
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment while working independently or as part of a team
Problem solving and analytical skills
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once
Skilled with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, & MS Project)
Experience using relational databases, JIRA and Confluence are a plus
