Your central role:

Strategic management of the global IT security programme of 1st LoD

As Corporate IT Security Officer of the ERGO Information Security Management System (ISMS), you are responsible for the global IT security governance process in the 1st Line of Defence (LoD) and chair the IT Security Plan & Control Board. In this way, you ensure the establishment and stable operation of the global 1st LoD of the IT Security organization.

You are responsible for building and implementing an effective and efficient 1st LoD IT Security as well as compliance policies and practices, in line with legislation and 2nd LoD ERGO Risk Management security policies. You assess IT security risks and follow up on related measures. For IT security audit procedures, you act as an interface partner for corresponding results and action plans.

In coordination with the IT architecture team, you lead the development of the global IT security architecture based on security policies. You are responsible for reviewing the impact of new technologies on ERGO's global IT security and setting up a review process for the implementation to guarantee IT security compliance. And you will track the compliance of projects in relation to IT security policies and the IT security architecture.

You are the primary contact person for the Cyber Defence Centre in case of significant global IT security incidents and ensure the monitoring of all current IT security incidents.

You ensure the cyber security maturity level of all ERGO Subsidiaries based on the ERGO Cyber Security Maturity Model. You support and monitor the local IT security investment programs as well as post-incident follow-up projects in the subsidiaries. You are responsible for the global communication, management and follow-up of Indicators of Compromise (IOC) and IT vulnerabilities.

Your profile:

Several years of expertise in IT security combined with an analytical mindset and management skills

An academic degree or comparable professional training, preferably in IT or management, is a valuable basis. In addition, you can demonstrate several years of professional experience in the field of risk management, IT security and IT in general with profound experience in a senior management position. Security management certification such as CISSP, CISM as well as knowledge of ISO27001, NIST800 or COBIT are desirable.

You have proven experience in the delivery of high volume IT services and solutions in a complex, global organization preferably in the insurance, banking or telecoms industry. Furthermore you bring solid experience in managing international IT projects. An experience in management and development of an IT (security) department in a global matrix organization is a plus.

You are aware of new global IT security topics and trends and know the regulatory changes and the impact on IT units. You ensure cross-functional cooperation and promote information exchange with the aim of improving decisions, policies and practices for the organization. Your experience in change management in global and complex organizations supports you in actively shaping improvements. You support your employees and you are committed to their personal development and motivation.

You are strongly motivated to align and lead global cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams towards the achievement of tactical and strategic goals. Your English and German skills are on a business level.
